Got Time?

So I am on week three of P90X and I am really starting to notice some decent improvements. I have lost 3 more pounds and have started to see definition in my arms and chest. My love handles are almost gone now as well.
I have not eaten as well as I should have this week but my weight is still around 166 which makes me happy considering in March I was 200 pounds.
I know there are a lot of people out there that are wanting to work out but worried that they do not have the time. Let me tell you that I am a married father of two, work a full time 40 hour a week job and I make the time to get my workouts in everyday. So you say that you can make some time to workout but do not have an hour to devote to it daily? I have the solution for you.

No Excuses

I overheard someone talking to a friend he had not seen in a while. Obvious to his weight, He started talking about how he got fat like his Dad over the past few years. Then said I guess there is nothing I can do about it.
Honestly, I get so annoyed by this, but I understand the mentality because I was there once. But then I got tired of myself and knew that the only one holding me back and making me fat was me. That is when I stopped the excuses like I am too busy, I gained weight during my wife's pregnancy. It couldn't be the fast food, second helpings and pop at all.
Stop Making Excuses and Start Making Choices.
The sooner you do this the sooner you can be on your way to a slimmer and healthier you.  I know it is hard and there are things you will need to change to make it happen but I assure you it is worth it.
What excuses do you use?
Today I did week 2 of P90X Shoulders and Arms then Ab Ripper X. After, I got my babies up and did breakfast, changed diapers, did dishes and laundry. Read books to my daughter and played with them, then got their lunch ready. All before 11:30AM.

Plyometrics and losing Weight

Today was time for P90X Plyometrics to start my day. I will say that this is a great workout and I still burned about 800 calories, so it does work. However, I still really prefer the Insanity Max Interval Plyo to the P90X Plyo workout because I really like the intensity of it.
I am going to stick with every program that P90X wants me to do and after this 90 days I think I will start with the P90X/Insanity Hybrid and end the year with Insanity The Asylum.
I am actually excited for the Asylum, call me crazy but I really want to do it.
After my workout this morning I had some Special K and a Banana for Breakfast and a few hours later had a protein shake (vanilla Whey). Now for another small snack before I have dinner.
That is the key people, drink plenty of water, eat healthy and eat small meals every 3-4 hours throughout the day. If you want to lose weight and see great results with your exercise program, this is what you need to do.

How do you get fit?

I really hit P90X Back and Shoulders hard today. This is the beginning of week 2 of my first round with P90X and I am liking it so far.
Insanity was great and fast paced and an incredible challenge and I look to put the same effort into P90X.

Welcome and let's get fit.

I was overweight, unhappy with my body. I felt run down and slow. I could not play with my kids outside the way I wanted to. I was embarrassed for my wife to see me without my shirt.
What was the cause? I did not care about myself or what I ate. I ate fast food, junk food, and I drank a lot of soda.
I was finally tired of how I looked and how I was feeling and made up my mind that I was going to make a change. So what did I do? I saw a commercial for Insanity, a workout program from Beachbody and decided that I was willing to try it.
So I ordered it and tried it out and went for it full steam ahead with total commitment. I stopped drinking soda, stopped the fast foods. Ate more vegetables and fruit, watched my calories and drank a lot of water daily. I went into the Insanity workout and never missed a day.

60 days later I am 30 pounds lighter and feeling amazing. I have energy and more self confidence.
